In 1998, Bombardier entered the ATV market, by introducing a prototype of its innovative Bombardier ATV, the Traxter model. Over the next several years, Bomdardier became recognized as a major player in the ATV industry. Led by innovative, consumer-driven models including the launch of the first 2-up models, Bombardier was a serious competitor, with serious products.

In 2006, Bombardier ATVs became Can-Am – The Ultimate Ride.

Today, the Can-Am line-up features a wide choice of engine sizes and formats, including the popular 2-up Outlander Max line.
